Substance Abuse Professionals Q & A:
Q: How does GetOutOfProhibited.com support drivers after they complete Step 4 of the Return-to-Duty process?
A: We handle Step 5, including scheduling and managing the Return-to-Duty test, updating the FMCSA Clearinghouse, and ensuring the driver’s status transitions to “Not Prohibited.”

Q: What demographics do you serve, and can you support drivers across the U.S.?
A: Yes, we work with drivers nationwide, offering personalized services tailored to their unique situations, regardless of location.

Q: How do you minimize callbacks and questions from drivers about their status?
A: We guide drivers step-by-step through the process, keeping them informed so they are less likely to call you with questions after completing Step 4.

Q: What is the cost of your Step 5 services, and what does it include?
A: Our Step 5 services cost $248, with flexible payment plans available. This includes scheduling the Return-to-Duty drug test, confirming proper lab staffing for observed collections, and promptly updating the FMCSA Clearinghouse to transition the driver’s status to “Not Prohibited.” This does not include a fee of $2.50 that must be paid to the clearinghouse so that we may run a before and after query.

Q: Do you only work with drivers who are currently in prohibited status?
A: Yes, our services are tailored specifically for drivers navigating the Return-to-Duty process to reinstate their CDL or CLP status.

Q: How quickly can you help drivers complete Step 5 and get back to work?
A: On average, we complete Step 5 within 7 days, ensuring drivers are ready to move forward promptly.

Q: Do you offer services for Spanish-speaking drivers?
A: Absolutely. Our Spanish-speaking division provides full support to drivers without any additional cost for translators.

Q: How can becoming a partner benefit me as a SAP?
A: Partnering with us gets you added to our trusted SAP list, which we share with drivers starting the process, increasing your visibility and client base.

Q: How do I send drivers to your service after they complete Step 4?
A: Simply share our contact information or direct them to our website. Once we’re connected, we’ll handle the rest of the process seamlessly.

Q: Can you provide educational resources or workshops for SAPs?
A: Yes, we offer educational sessions on the FMCSA Clearinghouse process, Step 5 requirements, and how to partner with us effectively.

Q: Does your service include Step 6, the follow-up testing plan management?
A: No, our service does not include Step 6 management. FMCSA regulations require that follow-up testing be conducted by an employer while the driver is performing safety-sensitive functions. However, we stay updated on FMCSA changes and will immediately notify our drivers if regulations are revised to allow C/TPAs to manage Step 6 in the future.
